It is widely believed that wine production in Georgia first began, over 7000 years. These days there are over 500 species of grape in Georgia, a greater diversity than anywhere else in the world, with around 40 of these grape varieties being used in commercial wine production.
In the morning pick up from Tbilisi hotel. You will combine walking and driving in old and new districts of Tbilisi, visiting outstanding landmarks of our capital city and degustation of delicious Georgian wines. Start with cable car ride to Narikhala Fortress and admire the views of the city from high. Stroll down to the old town and next visit Chateau Mukhrani wine studio. Have wine-tasting in the studio and learn how Chateau wines are made. Take a walk in the old town and next have lunch at local restaurant with traditional dishes and Georgian wine.
Continue to Schuchmann Winery for tasting the unforgettable flavor of Shuchmann wines. After wine-tasting visit Mtatsminda park by funicular tramway. Take a relaxing walk in the park and in the evening return to the hotel.
Narikala Fortress 4th c dominates the Old Town as a most impressive architectural landmark. With its inaccessible slopes, the fortress served as a main fortification and defended the city for centuries. You may ride up to Narikhala Fortress by the aerial cable Car and enjoy the Tbilisi view from high.
